We’ve designed a range of prize categories to give everyone a fair shot, no matter your skill level, experience, or age. That way, there’s always something exciting to aim for, and every participant has the chance to take home a great prize.
Please note: Prizes are subject to change and will be confirmed before prize giving. This flexibility allows us to bring even more sponsors and prizes on board as the competition unfolds.
Major Prize - LUCKY T-SHIRT DRAW
TOTAL PRIZE CATEGORY VALUE – OVER $10k
The Lucky T-Shirt Draw is for anyone attending prize giving wearing their official Stoney Creek® 2025 Spring Sika Hind Hunt T-Shirt (which features a unique personalised code printed on each T-Shirt). The winner/s will be drawn by random number generator at various times throughout prize giving. Winner drawn must be physically present at prize giving, wearing their Stoney Creek Competition Shirt, and will have up to 60 seconds to get on stage to claim their prize before being automatically redrawn. *Judges decision is final.

Oldest Sika Hind Jaw

As verified by the Sika Foundation, prizes will be awarded to the following categories for the OLDEST Sika Hind Jaw harvested during the competition dates and submitted at the official jaw drop off locations. *Judges decision is final.

Most Sika Hind Jaws

As verified by the Sika Foundation, prizes will be awarded to the following categories for the MOST Sika Hind Jaws harvested during the competition dates and submitted at the official jaw drop off locations. *Judges decision is final. All participants must hold a valid hunting permit and hunt within these parameters. Please refer to the DOC website for guidance.
- 1st Prize – Backcountry Kaimanawa Alpine Adventures Experience – 3 night stay at Waipakihi Glamping for 4 guests + flights (worth over $3,690).

Here at Stoney Creek we are obsessed with the outdoors, that’s where our passions are and what we staunchly want to protect for future generations. That’s why we are looking to grow this Hunting Competition to include a Trout Fishing Competition. We are in discussions with the local community and governing bodies, and look forward to bring the region a premier trout fishing competition to make this a truly spectacular outdoors event which promotes the outdoors, the community and conservation efforts to protect those things we care about most.
